RedStorm Delivers 3000-Gallon UST Elliptical Tanker to Seventh District VFD, Maryland
GAINESVILLE, VA (Oct. 15, 2011) -- RedStorm Fire & Rescue Apparatus, Inc. has delivered a new, 3000-gallon tanker built by US Tanker (UST) to Seventh District Volunteer Fire Department (VFD) in St. Mary's County, Maryland. The tanker features a 3000-gallon elliptical water tank, Hale QPAK 1000-gpm pump, three 10" side and rear dumps, a 4" LDH discharge, two 3" direct tank fills, a Zico 3500 Porta-Tank Quick Lift System and storage for two SCBAs. The body is constructed entirely of stainless steel, as are the pump house, plumbing, underbody support structure and water tank cradle. The body features a lifetime warranty.
"We really appreciate this business from Seventh District VFD and were happy we could deliver the tanker ahead of schedule. In their station, they now have a high-capacity, high-capability apparatus that can be used for many types of response calls, and for many years. Chief John Nelson and the apparatus committee took great effort to develop a specification that suits their department, and we couldn't be more pleased to provide this new tanker that was built to their exact requirements," said Tim Allaband, RedStorm vice president.
